Ok…so I have been trying to hold this wedding back for a little something special, but I simply cannot do it. It’s just too beautiful not to share. 🙂 {You may remember Kelli and Chuck from their super cute e-session a few months ago.} We have had a fabulous time getting to know Kelli and Chuck these past few months, and now that we’re in Auburn, I’m certain that we will get to spend lots more time together!
Kelli and Chuck married on August 14, 2010, at the Reserve at Oakbowery. And the best way to describe that morning…is wet. It was a wet, rainy, morning, but Thomas and I said a little prayer before we got out of the car, and hoped that the sun would come out in time for photos.
When we walked in the house, we were happy to find that Kelli was in wonderful spirits. It seemed as though the rain didn’t even faze her…she had decided that she was not going to let a little rain ruin the most important day of her life. {And that made us super excited!} The bridesmaids were cheerful too, and everyone continued to prepare for an outdoor wedding, regardless of the forecast.
Sure enough, as if by design {which I’m certain it was}, the showers stopped at the exact moment that Kelli and Chuck were supposed to have their first look. It was fabulous, and even though it was a little muggy, I don’t think it bothered anyone. We were all just so thrilled that it wasn’t raining…a little humidity certainly wasn’t going to stop the celebration!
The ceremony was outside on the lawn behind the home… and it was completely rain-free. Kelli was a stunning bride, and Chuck was a pretty sharp-looking groom too. The wedding party was easy-going and seemed happy to share the day with the bride and groom.
The reception was at a barn behind the home, and it was a blast. Kelli and Chuck took time to speak to each guest, but after the cakes were cut and the guests were greeted, they headed straight outside to the dance floor. It wasn’t long before their friends and families joined them there. And let me tell you, this crowd liked to dance…A LOT. And it made for some great photos. {We’re saving those for Kelli and Chuck to see first.} 😉
Even though the day had a dreary start, it certainly did not stay that way. The sun shined. Kelli and Chuck became husband and wife. Friends and family celebrated, and everyone danced late into the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Riddle, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day. It certainly was special to be there with you and capture the day. We wish you many more sunny days…many more laughs together…a lifetime full of joy…and a marriage full of love. Be blessed!
Ok…this wedding party was pretty fabulous. Here’s the evidence of how fun {and what GREAT sports} Kelli and Chuck’s bridesmaids and groomsmen were. We think they’re a great looking group even when they are making super goofy faces. {But seriously…How FUN is THIS?} 😉
