The Bell-Pearce Wedding | Cashiers, North Carolina

Ginny and Roger married on July 2nd, in a beautiful garden in Cashiers, North Carolina, and the day was nothing short of a fairytale. We could not have asked for a more wonderful couple, a more beautiful setting or more amiable guests. The whole day was a dream.

Ginny’s aunt owns a beautiful Summer home in North Carolina, and her garden is nothing short of spectacular. When we arrived for the rehearsal, we found out that Southern Living had come out the week prior to photograph the garden. We could certainly see why! As they were planning the wedding, Ginny’s aunt was growing flowers in her garden in Florida, only to uproot them and plant them in North Carolina when the time was right. She brought a whole UHaul-full of flowers and replanted them, so that everything would be gorgeous for Ginny and Roger’s wedding day. It was spectacular!

Ginny certainly paid attention to detail, and I fell in love with everything about her wedding. Her bridesmaids wore blue knee-lengthed dresses, while the groomsmen donned khaki suits with red ties (which were covered in small magnolias…LOVE). At the reception, tables were covered with beautiful old quilts, and serving tables were set up in an old barn. The stalls in the barn served as the bartenders’ make-shirt bars, which was fantastic. Lattice tables sat above herb gardens behind the barn, and they served as an additional serving area. Everywhere you looked there were men in seersucker and bow-ties, and of course the ladies wore beautiful summer dresses. These folks have style, friends…Southern style. There were little nods to Roger’s New Orleans roots throughout the night. He had a fantastic Saints-themed groom’s cake, and of course they had a second line…complete with handkerchief waving and parasol twirling. So…much…FUN.

Ginny and Roger were wonderful, and so were their families, bridesmaids and groomsmen. At the reception, everyone had a ball…including Thomas and me! This bride and groom certainly knew how to have a good time! Everyone danced well into the evening, and Roger and his dad even joined the band on a stage for a song. Roger played his guitar, and he and his dad both sang with the band. The guests loved it! (We loved it too!)

By the end of the night, I just wanted to pick this wedding up and HUG IT! 😉 Although I couldn’t hug the wedding itself, I definitely gave the bride and groom a big squeeze before their grand exit.

Ginny and Roger, thank you so much for allowing us to capture such a beautiful day in your lives. It was a joy to get to know you guys, and we had an absolute ball!

(It was super difficult to choose images from this gorgeous wedding for this blog post…can you tell?! I just decided the more, the merrier, this time around.) 😉
