One of the {many} perks of being a photography team, is the awesome behind-the-scene photos Thomas and I are able to take of each other shooting. These photos have just been a little something for us to have, for Facebook profile pics…or merely for laughs. {If you’ve ever seen me shoot, you know I end up in the strangest positions, and Thomas really enjoys capturing those moments!} 😉 But we recently learned that MpixPro was holding a contest, Photographers at Work, and right away I knew that we should probably submit some of our behind-the-scenes photos.

As soon as I read about the contest, I headed to my computer, picked three of my favorite photos that Thomas has taken of me behind the scenes, and emailed them over to Matt at MpixPro. I was thrilled to receive an email the very next morning, and the following day I learned that one of my photos had in fact been chosen. I was selected as the winner of the Photographers at Work contest for Week 10.

The fabulous photo that Thomas took of me photographing Calla during her newborn session is now on the MpixPro blog, and it has also been added to the slide show on the front of the MpixPro web site. We’ve been super impressed with the customer service and the quality products we’ve received when working with MpixPro, so it’s an honor to be featured on the site.

I’ve decided that these behind-the-scenes shots are kind of special, because not all photographers have another photographer with them who can capture photos of them working. I have to be honest, though…Thomas is often much better at taking these photos than I am. I tend to get caught up in the shoot, and I completely forget to snap photos of him while he’s working. But now, I’m definitely trying to do that more often.

I’ve shared a few photos of us working on Facebook, but I haven’t shared many {if any} on the blog. Soooo….here are a few of my very favorites. 🙂
