Melissa & Tyler |Alabama Engagement Photographer| T2 Photography

Last weekend, we were so excited to finally meet Melissa and Tyler for their engagement session. We traveled down to Tuscaloosa and ate lunch together so that we could chat and get to know each other. We were thrilled to meet the two of them and find that they we had lots in common. 🙂  I think Melissa was super grateful that we had lots in common too. After lunch, she confessed to dreading the day, because she thought we were going to be old. {And yes…I almost fell over when she told me that!} She said she was so excited to walk into the restaurant and see us sitting at the table…two young people! We all laughed about it for the rest of the day!

Melissa and Tyler came to their engagement session with super fun ideas. We took some photos of them on campus of the University of Alabama. They’re both alumni…and yes, they’re still letting us photograph their wedding even after they found out I graduated from Auburn. {Can you believe it?!}

They also wanted to take some photos where Tyler proposed. He took Melissa to Sips-n-Strokes, which is a place that you can take an art class and drink a bottle of wine, and leave with your own beautiful masterpiece. The night Tyler proposed, they were painting the Eiffel Tower. Since Melissa loves Paris, he decided this was the perfect opportunity. They each painted their own canvases, and when they left that evening, they decided to look at one another’s paintings. On the bench in front of Sips-n-Strokes, Tyler presented his painting to Melissa, which had a stick figure boy proposing to a stick figure girl. {He admits that he’s no artist.} 😉 He asked Melissa to be his wife, and she gladly accepted. 🙂

It was so much fun to hang out with you, Melissa and Tyler! We’re very much looking forward to your wedding day!

Special thanks to Sips-n-Strokes for being so very friendly. Not only did they let us photograph outside on their porch area, they opened the doors to us {even though they were closed}, and gave Tyler and Melissa a bottle of the wine that they drank the night he proposed. Super nice people!
